Hands Together starts an organic edible school garden!

Children, parents, teachers and volunteers have been working hard to start up an organic fruit and vegetable school garden at the Hands Together preschool. So far, volunteers built the beds then teachers, parents and volunteers worked together to fill the beds with organic compost and soil mix. The Morning Garden and Hands Together children had a blast mixing the soil, planting seeds and watering the beds.

Among the plants we are growing are corn, beans, squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, lettuce, kale, sunflowers, beets, peas, radishes and much more! We are all very excited that this project is taking off and we are grateful to Western Growers Foundation for the funding they provided to make this school garden a reality!
